In creating The Park for the Department of Orthopedics, I sought to create a sense of movement and energy, but also a sense of calm repose. I found that the setting of a park best represented this duality.

Throughout the practice, you will be greeted by figures in various states of movement. Upon entering the practice, you are accompanied by figures walking through a tree-lined path. These figures arrive at the park as you arrive at the main waiting room. Finally, larger versions guide you through the exam room corridors, creating a sense of being among the figures in the park.

My hope is that this imagery helps patients feel calmed, cared for, and rejuvenated, regardless of the physical challenges they may be facing.
