I hope that these photos provide some solace and rekindle memories of a place that you love. These photographs of Wysteria are made in my parent’s backyard. Each picture is made over the course of a summer’s day, as multiple exposures on a single sheet of film. The Wysteria was planted by my father in the summer I was born. It has been there throughout my entire life, it’s almost like we’re twins. The colors come from gel filters which are placed in front of the lens to accentuate a tone, a sense of the day, a particular association with a mood, memory... or a sensation that I cannot describe any other way except by making these photographs. While making these photos I get a sensation which still feels as magical and sublime as when I was a kid playing under the vines. - Bryan Graf, Artist
