In 2018, Brazilian and Scarsdale artist Simone Kestelman was asked to create artwork for the Wakefield Lobby. Fused and kiln-formed glass flowers make everyone smile. In creating this wall installation, Kestelman celebrates nature. Composed of thirty three flowers, each one is created using transparent and opaque glass. Every flower is unique in its design, and some of the differences can only be observed through close examination. Those who allow their attention to drift away from worries and towards focus will become immersed in the intricacies and particular beauty of each individual flower.
